New Assignment for Fr. Hai Nguyen

Dear Saint Mary Parishioners,
Bishop Joe Vasquez has assigned me to be a parochial vicar at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Austin, effective July 6, 2018. The bishop wants all the newly ordained priests to have experiences at different parishes. This announcement was made at all Masses two weekends ago, but perhaps you might have not been at our parish that weekend.I am thankful to Fr. Tim, Fr. Jay, Deacon Vince, Deacon Guadalupe, our staff, and to our wonderful parishioners for the opportunities to serve and to learn to be a better priest.I am grateful to be a priest for many reasons, but, more  importantly, for being an instrument of God’s merciful love by bringing people to God and God to people; in hearing and sharing stories of miracles in people’s lives, and being included in important moments in your lives.I will miss you.  Please pray for me as I do for you.

God bless,
Fr. Hai
